FaithWorks is a charitable programme of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto.  They offer support to Ministry Partners by serving the needs of people who are Indigenous, homeless, hungry, at-risk women, children or youth, immigrants or refugees, or people struggling with HIV/AIDS.  The FaithWorks team has helped to build communities of compassion and hope, and they’ve shared their blessings with the vulnerable and marginalized right here in our community and around the world.  FaithWorks has fed, sheltered, nurtured and befriended over 20,000 people in our communities and around the world every year, and has provided more than $35 million to Anglican-affiliated ministries over the last 25 years.   This Sunday we look forward to hearing more from the FaithWorks community partners, and to receiving an award from the Diocese for your generous support of this ministry.  If you would like to make a special gift to FaithWorks this Sunday, please mark your envelope accordingly, or use the memo line to indicate that this is a gift to the FaithWorks program.

Craft Club Christmas Sale this Tuesday! This coming Tuesday, November 23rd from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, the Craft Club will be hosting a scaled-down Christmas Sale in Lamont Hall. Winter will soon be here, we have warm wooly mittens, hats, scarves, and other surprises. Hope to see you on the 23rd! Covid protocols will be observed.

Advent Giving :  Although the lovely Advent Giving Tree will not be put up again this year due to ongoing COVID concerns there are still many opportunities to help provide for those in need in our community.

  • Donations of non-perishable food: The food donation barrel is already set up in the narthex and items can be brought on Sunday or dropped off on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 am - noon. Food donations will go to families associated with the Boys and Girls Club and with our local food bank.
  • New unwrapped toys for ages 0-13: these gifts will go to the Boys and Girls Club.  Tags listing gift cards or gift suggestions that you would normally see on the tree will be spaced out at appropriate distances in the narthex for those who attend church in person: the usual gift cards for local families in need and warm clothing items such as sweatshirts and gloves for the homeless.

If you do not feel comfortable being inside a store you can bring or send a financial donation to help with our giving projects.  --Timothy's Outreach Team

Under Wraps: The Gift We Never Expected:  Every Tuesday evening at 7 pm, starting November 30th, we will gather on zoom to study the theme of the week.  Everyone is welcome.  Please contact the office if you would like us to reserve a study book for you.

Live Feed for Synod Opening Worship 2021:  If you are interested in joining us for the opening Eucharist of Synod 2021 on Thursday, November 25th, you are more than welcome.  This Eucharist is open (online live feed) to the public!  Please refer to this link for more information and updates.
