William Postma is the executive director of Alongside Hope, (formerly known as the PWRDF) which is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development, relief, and global justice.

Before William came into this position, he had a long career in non- governmental organizations, including Save the Children Canada, World Vision, Christian Reformed World Relief Committee and Pathways to Education. 

William has also served as chair of Citizens for Public Justice, a national organization of members inspired by faith to act for justice in Canadian public policy.

Alongside Hope supports more than 58 partners in 22 countries partnering with programs in Canada and globally to provide clean water, support refugees, train people in conservation agriculture, and empower marginalized communities.  Alongside Hope has a working partnership with our Indigenous siblings through their learning Indigenous Partnership Principals, Indigenous Programs in Canada, the Mishamikowheesh Water Partnership and Water Project Pikangikum, which we will hear more about on Sunday, April 12th at both the 8 am and 10 am services!
