Thanks for joining us today, please stay connected for a time of fellowship following the service!

In light of recent events this week, our Diocesan Coordinator of Indigenous Ministries and Reconciliation Animator, the Rev. Leigh Kern, has informed us that the “Elders have called us into a prayerful observation of a period of mourning, in light of the tragic uncovering of the remains of 215 children in an unmarked grave at Kamloops Residential School.”  In this time of tremendous loss and collective vulnerability, Rev. Kern shares with us this incredible virtual resource package:

Virtual Package (Click here!)

Please take some time to look through the package.  There are various ways that you can learn, listen, stand, speak and pray as we hold close to our hearts those who died at Residential School and their families who continue to grieve.

June 21st is observed as National Indigenous People’s Day. In the Anglican Church of Canada, we will be observing the National Indigenous Day of Prayer on Sunday, June 20th, which also happens to be our 110th Anniversary Celebration.  We will find ways to honour all people who have gone before us.

Walk-A-Thon:  If you haven’t already, please download and fill out your registration form for the St. Tim’s virtual 6K Walk-A-Thon.  Both registration and pledge forms are on our website now.   Walk anytime from May 30th to June 21st.  All funds will go to the PWRDF Indigenous Water project, and the mission and ministry of this parish.  For more information, please speak to the wardens or call the office.

110th Anniversary:  As part of the Parish’s 110th anniversary celebration, which will be held virtually on zoom, we will be planting a tree between the church and Sheppard Hall, as well as installing a labyrinth between the south transept and the main entrance to the church.  Some donations towards these things have already been received, but it’s not too late, if you’d like to contribute as well.  Please indicate how you would like your donation to be used.

Garden Update:  Special thanks to Elizabeth and Sadie who have done an incredible job beautifying our gardens in anticipation of our anniversary event!  We also offer thanks to Peggy and Reg Perkins for donating bricks for the edging work.  Anne and Elizabeth have picked out, paid for and arranged the delivery of our anniversary tree as well.  God bless you all for your service!

Blessings on your week,
