ANNOUNCEMENT

  • CONGRATULATIONS CANON ANDREA! At Diocesan Synod last week, our very own Andrea Christensen was appointed an Honorary Canon of the Diocese of Toronto. Andrea was selected for this honour in recognition of her leadership with the Diocese Momentum Program, and as a Member of the Diocesan Council and Finance Committee. We look forward to the Installation Service for Andrea and fellow Honorary Canons on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 4:30 PM during Choral Evensong at St. James Cathedral. We give thanks to God for Andrea, and congratulate her for this well deserved recognition. Andrea, we are grateful to be drawing closer to Jesus with you!

  • Advent 1: Camino Pilgrimage Stories & Pictures! The Advent season invites us to step away from what can be a frenzied time of parties, shopping, and holiday noise to consider how we can draw closer to Jesus during this most wondrous and holy time. Following the 10 AM service, you are invited to join us for a soup lunch in Walker Hall as Rev. Andrea and Ben talk about their Pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago through stories and pictures- we even have some Show & Tell items to share with you!

  • Advent 2023: Advent Study: The Way of Love on December 5th @ 7 PM in the Bonis Room.

  • A St. Timothy's Advent Tradition - The Advent Giving Tree: The outreach Committee invites you to help those in need in our community. In a time of high costs, low wages and lingering inflation the need is greater than ever. As just one example, over 800,000 people needed to go to a food bank this past year and 40% were first time users. There are 3 types of gift suggestions on the tree this year.
    1. Gift cards, especially grocery gift cards, offering people the dignity of shopping for themselves.
    2. Items for the increasing number of homeless men and women in our community: warm socks, warm gloves, small-sized (travel/purse size) toiletries, long-sleeved t -shirts.
    3. Help provide clean drinking water for an Aboriginal community.
