ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Advent 2023: Advent Study: The Way of Love on December 12th @ 7 PM in the Bonis Room.
  • A Quiet Christmas: Harp music provided by Rose Soenen on Tuesday, December 12th @ 7:00pm in the Chancel as a prelude to the Advent Study
  • LISTEN TO THE CAMINO PRESENTATION AT HOME!  Some of you have reached out to Canon Andrea and asked for a recording of the presentation.  Please note that the presentation was not recorded on YouTube (due to the safeguarding of privacy for the family, and the fact that our main tech operator was also presenting!) However, an AUDIO RECORDING was made.  Reach out to Jie in the office for a soft copy!
  • OFFICE CLOSED FRIDAY: Please note that the office will be closed on Friday, December 8th and will reopen on Monday, December 11th.
  • Advent Family Movie Night: Thursday, December 14th at St. Timothy’s, from 6:30 - 8:30.  The movie is called “The Nativity” which is a wonderful telling of the Christmas Story.   Drinks and popcorn will be available. All are welcome, young and old!  A safe invite for friends, family and neighbours.
  • The Advent Giving Tree: The outreach Committee invites you to help those in need in our community. In a time of high costs, low wages and lingering inflation the need is greater than ever. As just one example, over 800,000 people needed to go to a food bank this past year and 40% were first time users. There are 3 types of gift suggestions on the tree this year.
    1. Gift cards, especially grocery gift cards, offering people the dignity of shopping for themselves.
    2. Items for the increasing number of homeless men and women in our community: warm socks, warm gloves, small-sized (travel/purse size) toiletries, long-sleeved t -shirts.
    3. Help provide clean drinking water for an Aboriginal community.
