Invitation to a Holy Lent
“Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.” (Joel 2:13)
Lent is our season to grow in faith and prepare for the celebration of new life at Easter. Although we are observing the season without gathering in-person, we are still invited to open our hearts to connecting in new ways with God and each other and setting apart these 40 days as a holy time.
You are invited to try the following resource to deepen your relationship to God, to meditate on His Word, and to listen to His message of love to you.
St. Timothy’s Lenten Examen: The examen is a centuries-old practice in the church that invites us to prayerfully reflect on our days in the presence of God. Rather than a prayer to memorize and recite, it is a contemplative practice. (See attachment below.)
