Throughout the year we support the Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) foodbank. Twice a year we run a program called "Toonies for Turkeys" which provides all the fixings for our Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter dinners.
Each Advent season the Outreach Committee sets up an Advent Gift Tree. Parishioners select a tag specifying a gift or gift card for those in need in our community. Gifts are placed under the tree and are ready for distribution just before Christmas.
To help address the need for food security in our community, St. Timothy’s offers a weekly Thursday Hot Lunch program which feeds 45-60 guests per week.
Outreach provides a $300.00 educational grant to any student (parishioner) who has made a difference in his/her church and school community and community-at-large through volunteer work.
Each year Outreach, together with the Corporation, hosts a Walkathon to raise funds for Church mission and operational expenses.
St. Timothy’s continues to be a strong supporter of the Toronto Anglican Diocese Faithworks outreach initiative. (A list of these community based ministries is available on the Diocesan website.) Outreach is responsible for allocating the 15% of Faithworks donations that comes back to St. Timothy’s to support local ministries. In past years, we have been able to offer funding to ACSA, women’s shelters, our Indigenous siblings, and the East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club.
